The essential problem is the symmetrical detail showing up suddenly. It becomes noticeable when painting bumps and really messes with the UV maps. It can also create an odd "doubling" model - almost as if the asymmetrical version is inside the symmetrical version. And toggling "paint symmetry" does not change it (I would not expect it to). To keep detail uniform across the entire object, Constant Detail can be used. Zoom out big details, zoom in small fine details. This method uses a detail size based on the number of pixels, and in turn will create topology in that size. Symmetry modeling details automatically appear - all of the latest asymmetrical details suddenly become symmetrical. If it isnt, you can turn it on by pressing Transform> Activate Symmetry. Dyntopo uses three different detail methods to create dynamic detail to an object. I saw mention of deleting sculpt.dat files somewhere regarding the Windows installs. Quitting/restarting Sculptris usually works, but not always. Some of the shoulders is good for a base, but you can kind of fake that if needed. Turn on Sculptris Pro and tweak to ‘SubDivide size’ from the Stroke palette > Sculptris Pro section to maintain a good resolution. but it wont allow me to turn off symmetry to even do that. i was then planning to pose the figure asymmetrically after completing it where arms, face etc where doing seperate actions. i was creating a sculpt which i did with symmetry on. This problem happened to me a lot when I tried to smooth out the mesh, increased brush size and. im not using zbrush but sculptris which is a limited free version of zbrush and is made by the same people. Do not forget to switch off Sculptris Pro when smoothing out your model, because Smooth also works in this mode. The smaller the brush the more dense the tessellation, and the more detail support. Select the Move Brush and start pulling and pushing the sphere to set the basic shape of the object. Its features enable you to use customizable brushes to shape, texture and paint virtual clay in a real-time environment that provides instant feedback. Sculptris Pro works fantastically with Clay brushes. It is not predictable, as far as I can tell. 1.Youll want an image of the front of the persons face. Local Symmetry utilizes the Gizmo inside ZBrush to provide the opportunity to keep symmetry within the ZBrush workspace while moving models off the center axis. Enable Radial Symmetry with a high number in the ‘Radial count’ slider. Problem 1: Has anyone running Sculptris on Mac (the Alpha ver) noticed the smooth and reduce tools stop working after awhile? I have two cpus and it happens on both (macbook pro, mac pro, OS 10.6.8, plenty of RAM).
